Canggu is a bit of a digital nomad city. It's great for beaches, cafes, bars etc but not quite cultural Bali if that's what you're looking for. I felt like there were more tourists/foreigners residing here than there were local people. It caters to most needs and is very convenient. There are good gyms and other service facilities. Great area with lots of great restaurants, cafes and shopping. Unfortunately the road is not direct so can take up to 40mins to get from one spot to the next. The Hideaway provides the best of both worlds. Exceptionally clean and well maintained, it is walking distance of a few good cafes and the beach. There's ample parking for motorbikes. I like the fact that the room had both a fan and air conditioning. It's such a nice environment - quiet and away from the noise of the traffic. Just a beautiful place to be.
